    Network Card showing Red LIght & not pulling IP

     
    Dell GX260 was working fine when some spyware was installed. I removed the spyware and now there is no connection to the internet or the network. Network card is showing red light only. When tried another connection still same problem. Please help.

    what type of internet?

    do you have an ip address when you restart?

    what os?

    please give more info on your network setup

    It's Windows XP. IP is the 169 self given address when no ip is able to be pulled. It's the Dell inbedded NIC.

    Network - It's a domain networked with no proxies in place. Firewall but I control. After the trojan was removed as well as spyware. NIC showing only red light

    Spyware & TCP / IP

    Some types of ad / spy / malware with destroy your TCP / IP protocols as it's being removed.
    Go to majorgeeks.com and grab a copy of winsockfix...
