cisco 3550 drops packet greater than 1460
Hello,

A part of my network has a cisco 5509 connected to cisco 3550. When i ping the cisco 5509 with a packet size of even 16000 bytes it pings perfectly. However, even if i ping the 3550 with a packet size of 1461 it does not ping the maximum is 1460. I increased the mtu with the system mtu to 2000. increased the mtu to 2000 from the default 1500 on both the 5509 and 3550.

Its very urgent please help me. ASAP.
