Port Forwarding

hey guys i need a little help with port forwarding. at my college certain game ports are banned, and ive repeatedly asked the school how i can fix the problem. they told me to call this tech guy and he told me he would fix the problem. that was last semester, and i must have called him and asked him to fix it like 6 times last sememster. now a new semester is dawning and i wish it not to be gaming free, if anyone knows how to help me forward my ports so my games can work i would really apreciate it. thanks

they have to forward the ports to you on their routers....i don't think they will....because there is only one port and it can only be sent to one person..sorry. i think he just said yes to get u to leave him alone...no offence....again....sorry

so is there no way for me to do it myself using a program or something to edit where i want those programs to go

i'm sure they password protect the routers. there's nothing you can do bout the actual port forwarding and I don't believe you can do anything about it. As far as a software option...you'd need some software that constantly kept those ports open for u on the network..which i don't believe exists..sorry. The way these networks work, is they monitor what leaves the network and who sent it..and when they get a result, the gateway remember who asks for it and remembers who to send it to....games require annonymous stuff...you jsut randomly get some info...under normal conditions with only 1 computer that's ok...but on a whole lan it dosen't know where to send it. Thus, no game. sorry
