file sharing 2 PC's

hi
heres my setup -

dlink 502T router connected to DSL line. 2 PC's
my PC connected to router via ethernet
room mate laptop (win2000pro) connected to router via USB output of router. (no ethernet on her old laptop.

i want her to be able play movies and music files hosted from my PC as she doesnt have the hard drive space to copy and play them on her lappy

just wondering if anyone knows a SIMPLE way of being able to do this.

cheers guys

share the folder you want the win2k machine to have access too.

then on the win2000 machine right click on my computer, click map network drive

then type

\\computername\share folder name

ie

\\groundzero3\music

or if you just want to access the whole winxp drive

\\computername\C$

simple

FWIW, networking FAT32 and NTFS mixed PCs is a non-issue. Each local machine's OS handles the native file management.... TCP/IP just lets you do the file sharing.
