I am using a Linksys Befw11s4 and I have disabled DHCP. I was wondering if there was anyway to bypass the network IP (mine being 192.168.1.2) and just use my Static IP (24.123.xx.xxx)?
I am trying to create a server and for some reason port forwarding or DMZ fails to work.
Thanks,

Not really unless you connect your modem to your computer. You should try this to make sure that the router is causing the problem. |

Well I know its the router, since I tried DMZ. I have disabled the windows firewall too, and I have no firewalls running.
The server does not let outside users connect.
I saw that on the router page there is Static routing. I am not sure how to use the routing table. If that would work maybe I could do that. |

Yes to the newest version of it.
1.50.12 or something like that. |

Manually assign the IP to your machine and then create a static route entry on the router for that host address. You can bind more than one IP to an adapter as well which will make it easier to include that machine in your LAN. |
