I am going to share my cable Internet connection to my 2 computers. My ISP cable wire is Cat5e type with RJ -45 connector. And I think I have static IP address. So will this router suit me?

And click on DI-604 under Cable/DSL Routers
I love the DI-604, I've used it both for CAble and DSL. Neat little firewall built in, cool url filters and domain blockers! Its really a good piece of equipment for the price. I believe I paid 34 bucks for mine.

Unless you asked specifically for static IP you have DHCP assigned IP. But regardless of Static IP or not ANY router between you and the internet is a smart move. The firewall capability of the DLink is acceptable. They are fairly reliable and easy to configure.
Prefer DLink and Netgear myself, You couldn't give me a Linksys or Belkin! But I absolutely love hiding behind my Cisco 5200!

Yes, that will work fine. They're all pretty much the same at this price point, give or take. I agree Belkin would be one to steer clear of as a general rule, specifically if you want wireless but Linksys is fine.
