why do i see so many open ports to my self?
ok, i just did a netstat on my system, and i see a lot of open port listings (as TIME_WAIT) to MYSELF... what's up with that? why should there be any ports open to myself? i'm getting far less thoroughput over my cable than i should be...
i think it might be related to my printer driver... i know we had a problem with the deskjet drivers at work opening massive ports to the print servers and slowing them down...
anyone have any ideas?

can you actually do a netstat -an >ports.txt and then copy the ports.txt output and paste it here so that we can get a better look at exactly what's going on?
cheers,
