sitting server with adsl
hi guys ...
its my 1st topic here .. iwish u could help me with this..
igot paradyne router and adsl
is it possible to set up server with that?
knowing that imade forward ports for (ftp+web+dns) server and opened wan connections and setuped serv-u and many other programs with no success
i got domain name from cjb.net and pointed it to my real ip...when i type the domain name in my ie i got the router home page
pleas any help...

If your isp dosen't allow you to host a web server they'll typically block port 80 (the default web browser port). I'd suggets switching to apache web server and changing the hosting port. If you stick with the server you have now, I have no idea how to change the port but i'm sure someone here can help or you can find it in the documentation. Just a warning though, check your eula. You're probably not allowed to host a server and being caught could result in the loss of your internet from that isp! Here in the US, the cheepest plan I can find to host webpages on is about 150 bucks!! stupid ripoff!
