sharing Windows and program files with simple file sharing.
I have a friend who is using simple file sharing in XP home and his windows and program files folders are unable to be set as shared. The box to tick that says 'Share this folder on the network" is greyed out.
Is this becasue they are system folders? If so is there a way around this?

Not an admin of the machine or doesn't have rights to share out those folders. Not being an admin is the first thing I'd look at. He/she should only be able to share out profile folders.
