Sharing folder protection

I have a folder call Tools that i share on a Network (Workgroup) and this folder is accessible by anybody. I would like to put a password on it using Win XP Pro, the drive is NTFS (D) but i don't see any ways that i can do it.

I'm sharing this folder for work purposes and i would like to protect it, is there a way to do it ?

Thanks for your time

Turn off simple file sharing. From an explorer window Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab -> scroll down to the very bottom. Now when you right click on a file/folder and click the "sharing and security" you'll notice that you can modify permissions for the share.

In XP Home you can manage the NTFS ACL through safe mode, but from what I remember Home is forced to use simple file sharing so it wouldn't make much of a difference.
