Can't access google?

One of our computers at work cannot access google and I cannot figure out why. I have checked to make sure that it wasn't a restricted site under the security tab in internet options. The firewall isn't blocking it either. Then I tried a long shot and installed firefox, and it still doesn't work. What gives? Any ideas?

no problems with any other sites.

i've never pinged a website before. how do i find googles dns or ip address?

Start => Run => type "ping google.com" without the " "

easy enough. I get a response when I ping the site.

hmmm.. maybe its blocked

its not blocked on our router, because other people can access it, and I checked her restricted sites list and its not on there. where else could it be blocked?

When you ping the site it should give you an IP address in the form of 4 sets of numbers separated by dots. Something like 216.239.39.99
What numbers are you getting?

those are the numbers im getting all four instances

Try typing this in the address bar: http://216.239.39.99

See if you get there that way.

I can access the google page if i type in 216.239.39.99.

It could be the host file on that pc is pointing google.com to another ip address. Do a search for a "hosts" file on that pc and open it with notepad. See if there is a reference for google.com. If there is, delete it.
