    Gmail-Outlook

Hello, not exactly sure if this is the right forum, but here I go...

I have setup gmail on outlook, i can send mail...everything seems to have a check, not an X...so everything is going smoothly..

Except for the fact that I can't read my gmail on Outlook. I have all the ports setup, the only problem is Gmail doesn't show up in the Folders list.

I see MicFau1091 (hotmail), TnM (hotmail), and Outlook Today - Personal Folders...
When I get a new mail I don't see a 1 er anything by Messages on outlook today...

    Thanks in advace.

Have you tried reading through the Gmail support page?

Its pop3... so its just going to dump all the mail into your default local inbox folder.

Its worked fine for me in outlook express at least...

I might have missed it, but did you go into the options on the gmail online web thing and enable pop3? I believe you have to have incoming SSL enabled too, but its been awhile since I set it up, so not positive.

Ya, everything is setup correctly (i've read the support pages too)...
It can send email, and has the possibility to read email as well..
the problem is that I can't navigate to read my email...
I'm not having trouble with Gmail at all, its just Outlook..

    [edit]

    Thanks for your guy's help..
After 6 or 7 test emails, 1 of them finally showed up in my peronsal folders in Outlook Today.

not surprising, gmail is typically really slow IMO. I've had messages take over a day to show up.
