bandwidth sharing in ADSL modem router???

im current using ADSL service which provide 1Megabits/s downstream and 384megabits/s upstream. below are the set up for the internet bandwidth sharing in my house:
Aztech 4 port modem router
netgear 8 port switch
ADSL provider-Streamyx malaysia.
there are 5 PCs connected. so ,"PC a" connect directly to the modem router, "PC b","PC c" and "PC d" connect to the 8 ports switch which connect to the modem router.

-so the question is, how much bandwidth does each pc gets?
-is it that the bandwidth that "PC a" gets is much higher since it is connected directly to the modem router,and how much bandwidth does it get?
-then how much bandwidth does "PC b","PC c" and "PC d" gets?

Go to www.broadbandreports.com/stest and run the test on each of the computers. You need to have java installed to run the tests

it spreads the connection out to all the pcs. So if two machines are requesting data it will try to balance out the connection to both.

But if you start running p2p programs such as torrents others on your network will be effected

so does it mean that one of the pc use torrent client or p2p program, all other pc connection will slow down n interrupted?if yes, then whats the solution?is there any program that i can use to equally distribute the bandwidth?

not easily. You would need something like a load balance server, way overkill for home use.

i want to know,how this modem router and switch work?how it distribute the bandwidth?n how bittorrent client and p2p affected the bandwidth.anyone can provide some tutorial?
