| win 2003 server web edition
Hi,
have the listed Win package loaded on HP server, my I/P is AOL, have a wirless network system( netgear) using two of the 4 hard wired ports, no wireless use yet,
The server on one my PC on the other, my pc connects to the internet no problem
but the server npo chance, keeps throwing up cannot find the server or such like.
I have not a lot of experince with servers, won this onein a HP competion, would like to use it as a web site server.
any thoughts form any one on my problem would be nice.

are you using aol broadband? I am assuming you are using the netgear device to share off the internet |

please give us more information on your network setup. Model of the netgear equipement etc.... |

Hi,
Netgear is DG834Gv2 default acess is http://192.168.0.1
both the port lights in use are green(100 mbps)

does the second machine that doesnt have internet get an ip address? |

On the server pc, it probably has a static ip. And most likely your router is using DHCP. I would think you need to check to make sure the IP address on the server is in the routers DHCP subnet. |
