Problem with Belkin Wireless Router F5D7230-4

Problem with Belkin Wireless Router F5D7230-4

I'm trying to connect my Belkin Wireless Router F5D7230-4 to the internet using a PPPOE connection. I'm unable to do so. I was able to connect successfully a few weeks back but since the past 2-3 weeks I have not been able to connect this router to the internet. I have the latest firmware update installed. I have resetting the router several times, no luck.

When I check the security log it shows me that authentication failure but the userid and password is correct since it shows me this info unencrypted in the security log.

I can connect this same computer to the internet directly as well as through another SMC router.

Any ideas/suggestions. Please advice.

Belki router configuration

Who is the internet service provider?

The complete user ID has to be typed in to get connected through the belkin router. The user id should be your primary User ID and should be typed in the email format. For e.g: abcde@aol.com.

Please try this and it should get connected. Also let me know the version number of the router.

Hi,

I belive you have tried updatng the firmware & also tried resetting the router many times. Could you pls tell me who is your ISP & what is the brand name of your Modem. Also please let me know what is the IP address you are getting in LAN when the computer is connected to the Modem directly..?
