    limited or no connectivity

     
    My GFs computer was off for a while cuz the chipset fan was dying and needed to be replaced. When we turned it back on today we found that there was a limited or no connectivity icon.... none of the settings where changed... none of the cables where unplugged... what is wrong? The network setup is as follows.

    Phoneline -> router -> Switch -> Wireless switch

    the PC is plugged into the main switch and a laptop is on wireless.. the internet doesnt work on both machines... where laptop says that the wireless is connected but cant get online... help??

    actually, im having a similar or it even could be the same problem, ive been suggedted that if you have a cordless phone that operates ont he same frequency, try unplugging the phone and see if it works.i havent yet tried it myself, but have a go....

    there is a wireless phone right next to the switches but its always been there and hasnt caused any problems...

    i had the same problem with my broadban connection when i reinstalled my computer i didnt update averything. try updating your modem or try to update your connection on your computer

    ..possibily updating drivers for the connection, such as modem etc..

    wierd.... my GF turned on her computer 2day and the net worked... how i hate hardware sometimes!! arrggg!!
