Running a Ftp server with no-ip service and a linksys router
OK, I've been running a app ftp server on cable. Problem was, now my provider has switched from static ips to dynamic. So I am using No-ip (DNS Service) and forwording port 21 to my server. Ok, this is where I don't get.... If i access the server thru the web , from one of my networked pc's, I can access it for about a minute, then my router drops all connectivity, so i have to reset my router. But outside my network, I can access the server fine.... Any ideas? Using a linksys Befsr41.Rember, you can't escape from your Shadow.---Sh4dowH4x0r!

Try using the LAN IP (not public name or IP) to access it. This way your router should be "out of the loop".

"out of the loop"
basically he means when you connect thru the ftp using the 192.168.1.* number your not having to go thru the router at all.
