Internet from computer on integrated wireless straight to nother computer.....

Hey guys,

Was wondering if there is a way to get the internet that is plugged into my dad's laptop via wire....make it broadcast over his integrated wireless...then into my mom's laptop via her wireless card?

I kno i should use a router, but i cant find it yet, and both laptops are needed tgo access internet atm....and they dont need to be very far apart....just sam e floor....maybe few rooms away...

So you want to try doing the wireless equivalent of a cross-over cable connection between the two computers right?

An easier way would be to buy a wireless router, plug the Internet connection into that and have boths PCs connect to the router via wireless.

alright, guess ill just wait till the rest of my computer stuff arrives.....

you could set up an ad-hoc connection between the 2 computers and then enable internet connection sharing on the one with the internet connection, configured to share the internet over the wireless card.

i've done it before and it works really well. quite convenient when you're ont he go.
