limited or no connectivty

I have a xbox witch i want to connected to the internet througth a spare net work card on my PC (using ethernet). The pc can conected to my xbox but my xbox cant connected to the PC.

I am using internet sharing to alow the PC to share the internet connection to the xbox. BUT the network card cant obtain ip atomatically, it trys to but im givin a message sayin limited or no connectivity. I cant us a stactic IP.

Dose any 1 no wot that means or is there another way to get my xbox to connected to the internet.

You probably need to use a static ip on the x-box, but you said you can't, right?

well iv been told that i cant at www.xboxscene.com im not sure y tho.

The thing is it was going before i reformated my hard drive this limited or no connectability thing happend after i reformated. IT DID NOT DO IT BEFORE .

A wired router is really your best option. They're so cheap now that there really isn't a reason not to get one, the convienience of not having to deal with ICS is worth the money alone, but you also get other advantages such as 4 ports and it also serves as a firewall.

do you already have a router? if you already have a router with a home network, you just need a switch or hub (i recommend a switch...same price, a little better product)

i have a router a bt voyager 2091 wireless 1 witch has a ubs port and a ethernet port to connected to the internet.

BUT DUDE thats wasnt my question.

ANY sudgestions for a hub then and wot r the prices of them.
