Connecting a Centrino to wireless Network

I am hoping that somone can help me out here, I have just started work @ Aol Tech support, and I got a few calls tonite abt the centrino, not being able to connect to the available homenetwork, signal strength was 100% (excellent), but the lappy still would not connect, and for the life of me I could not get the customer into the centrino config to enter his SSID & Wep key, so if anybody has any tips or has any sites with config details I would be very gratfull,

if they are running windows xp, have them check out the built in windows wireless configuration?

Either way dont you guys have a script of steps you are supposed to go over for for support?

Either way, WAY too little information and it could be different things causing issues. In other words we need alot more information

thx, for the info, and yep we do have a script, but on 1st line u can only go so far with it, then u have to start useing the grey matter to get the thing to connet.

think I will just disable wep, just to get them online, after all half the ones I speak to dont even know what wep is & what its doing, & if they want to re-activate it they can get that 1 themselves
