home network troubleshoot

3 computers, all with the same operating system.
1- lynksys wireless router - WPA security
1- pci wireless computer shoved in a closet (working and on network)
1- in my bedroom (working and on network) (cat5'd)
1- in brothers room (with modem and router) (cat5'd) not accessible but on network!!!!



i shared everything, i made sure the name was the same, i took down the firewall, what do i do? it's showing up on the network but i cannot access it.

What name?

Does your brother machine get an ip address? What operating system is the machine running?

the network name is all caps "BLAHBLAH" all three machines are running xp pro sp2 its still down. he can get files off the compaq and my machine, but his shared folders are blocked for some reason each computer is assigned an ip address from the routers port forwarding or something, it's not a connection problem though its some type of security that he has but i disabled his internet security, and his firewall and its sill not letting me in. only PCAnywhere works.

Is it XP Pro on all? Or one of them XP Home? Is ICS running on the blocked PC?
