ip address conflict with hardwware address

hi,

I want to view other file on other pc but cann't.there is no list of all the pc.after restarting the pc,an error message show that there is a conflict between ip address and hardware.can anyone please tell me how to troubleshoot it. Thanks,i appreciated it.

If I read your post correctly, and you have Windows XP, you can renew your ip address so a conflict won't occur.

To do this go Start>Run and type "cmd"

When the black window comes up: type "ipconfig /release" (no quotes)
Then type "ipconfig /renew"
