Network access with folder permisions

Hello.

I've just set up a workgroup network with 3 XP Pro computers; one acting as a file and print server. I want to restrict access to a user. However, I cant define permissions for that user, because I can't select any other computer than the server one, which is the comp im doing it on.

They can all access each other and the network drives I've set up, through network places, and through typing \\[comp name] in the address bar.

This is very annoying.

Thanks.

you will need to create the accounts on the server and change the premissions on the server accounts to be able to limit whatever access you want.

thanks GZ,

So you can't define ACL's for any users on computers other than the computer the data belongs to?
