Hey guys,
I recently set up a home network for my house using a WBR 1310 Wireless router and my DSL modem. Two other computers are on the network right now over wireless, while I'm plugged directly into the router with a network cable.
Anyway, I started trying to use Azureus (which I'd never used before, I'm using version 2.5.0.0) and tried to download some torrents. But couldn't get it to work.
I noticed that one of the computers on my network works well with Azureus and has its Incoming TCP Listen Port and UDP Listen port both set to 6881, which I've read is the default for Azureus, and it's torrents are downloading and uploading fine. There are no ports forwarded to the computer that's working fine with Azureus, but I read to use Azureus on multiple computers on a network, I need to forward ports to each of those computers. So I tried following the directions on portforward.com to use Azureus.
I gave myself a static IP and I changed my listen ports to 60000 and forwarded that port to my IP address, I'm pretty sure I did it right too.
I tried changing the ports to 6882, forwarding them and still nothing. My internet and everything else works, just not torrents.
I also turned off UPnP in Azureus, which I read on another site as something I should do. Still nothing. I get this weird error sometimes that says: "UPnP: Lost connection to service 'WANIPConnection' on UPnP device '192.168.0.101'". That's the IP address of the computer that can use Azureus. I get this error about once every 10 minutes with Azureus running.
Any ideas? I'm gettin so confused on the intricaces of port forwarding and torrents.
P.S. oh and even if I use the NAT/Firewall Test on the computer working with Azureus and mine that doesn't work with Azureus, no matter what Port I enter, I always get a NAT error.
