I just got a free wireless PCI card from work today, it seems to work fine, i got no discs or anything with it besides the card and the antenna, i installed it, went online with my hard wired connection and downloaded the drivers, installed them and everything seemed fine, it told me to restart and now i can't get wirless internet configured and cannot get online when hard wired. I tried to disable the wireless and leave just the hard wired line in but still does not work! The card is a SMCWPCIT-G PCI card. When i go to connect to a wireless network i get this message...
"Windows cannot configure this wireless connection" yada yada....
What i want to do is be able to use either hard wired for my house, and when i go to LAN at a friends use wireless cause he has wireless set up in his house. Anyone help me with this? I am stuck!!!
Wireless card: SMCWPCIT-G 108MPS
Driver Version: 4.0.0.167
Application Version: 2.2.1.6
Also my mother board has two onboard ethernet plugs? Whats the reason? One for my internet and one to leech from my neighbor ^_^

What is your wireless router and do you have any security features turned on?

To the question about the dual LAN...
Usually you use one for incoming and one for outgoing for like a home network). There are other options, but that is the usual set-up.

If I were you, I would set up two separate hardware profiles. One profile for just the wireless and another for the NIC. That is how I setup users so they can easily choose how they will connect at startup. Otherwise, if you know how to switch between the two, disable/enable, etc., etc., you should be fine.
