Alright so here's the deal guys.
My friend is having troubles with his D/L's on utorrent.....but we've done everything humanly possible to try and fix it.
He's behind a router so we forwarded the port we set within BT (49153) and also gave him a static ip address through windows.....which we also input into the router....we've tried turning off firewall.....doing a DMZ....rebooting this and that....changning ports.....ip addresses.....but to no avail.....the light still goes red and says we're behind something (with crappy downloads)....he is on DSL but i wouldnt think that would matter would it? |

Maybe it is your ISP blocking those ports? |

well i highly doubt that becuz the port is 49153.....and i dont think that its a blacklisted port but ya never know.....plus we've tried changing the port twice and it gave us the same thing.....

I just flip on UPnP on the router and it works. Never needed to mess around with manually inputting port forwards.
