Cant connect to internet after un-installing AOL

Okay well title basically explains it, i used AOL for the free service for a month, till i got everything together, so i tried connecting with Netzero, and said the modem was in USE. This was after I uninstalled the AOL software, what could be the cause of this problem? And can i fix it

I remember that, don't you just love AOL?
It's been a long time, but I think you have to uninstall the modum and reinstall it.

The thing that got me is it even took over your network card, even if you only had dialup.
