Need help connecting two routers
I own a Linksys WRT54G and a D-Link DI-713P. What I would like to do is connect the Linksys to my cable modem and connect the D-Link to it so that the D-Link will act as a print server.
I realize that it should be as simple as:
1. Turn off DHCP in the D-Link.
2. Assign D-Link a static IP address within the range of the Linksys.
Well, I haven't been able to get that to work. The IP for the Linksys web setup is 192.168.1.1. The IP for the D-Link setup is 192.168.0.1.
See the attached doc for a screenshot of the D-Link router setup pages. When I set the Lan IP for the D-Link to anything but 192.168.0.1, I can't get to it from the Linksys. When I set the Wan IP address to an IP in the Linksys range, for example, 192.168.1.100, the print job never gets to the printer.
Can anyone identify what I'm doing wrong?" ... and you'll need a good companion for the ride ..."
