Seeking command / app to display network info in XP gui

I'm seeking a command in XP or an open source application that will display network information on a Windows XP system. It's my desire to map this to a hotkey for a quick two-key press that will show a system's IP address(es) and computer name (and preferably configurable to show more if needed) in a window or on the desktop background perhaps. I know there are many, and I will do my searching after having posted the question because for some reason I tend to search better after putting my thoughts down on virtual paper.

So you are wanting something that will display the Wins, DNS, gateway information or something along the lines of CPU, memory used?

At the moment the only items I really need for this are IP addresses of all the network connections and the full computer name. I do not want something that will run at startup, just something to run as needed. Expandability would be nice, but secondary to the above. I really don't want it to show information that I don't need displayed nor require anything more than an execution and close for the end user. Configuration on my end can be complicated so long as I don't have to program/compile.
