Adding a 2nd Wired Wireless Router and Repeater

Here is an illustration for reference.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i1...1/IMG_2118.jpg

What I am looking to do is share wireless internet with my neighbor by using his existing wireless router (Netgear WGR614) and adding a second wireless router (Linksys WRT54G) which would be wired to the Netgear. Then an access point (Linksys WAP54G) setup in repeater mode to boost the signal through my house. The reason for this is that he has internet phone service and cannot move his existing router. His current router and my theater room are on differnet ends of the houses, so I cannot pickup the signal for my PS3. I have already set up the repeater mode between the two Linksys's when the WRT is connected directly to the modem, which works great! But when I run the WRT through his existing setup in his house, I get no internet connection through the WGR or the WRT. So how do I need to configure the routers to get this setup to work? On a side note, it is not a necessity to use both routers. I could replace the Netgear with the Linksys, but I want to have the strongest signal possible at the access point which is why I want to have the Linksys as close as possible to my house. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On the WRT do you have the DHCP server turned off? What port do you have it plugged into on the WRT (hopefully not the WAN port)

I assume you setup the WRT with a static address on the same subnet as his. (same for the WAP)

You arent using the same SSID as his wireless router are you?

Also this site might help you out

Also i suggest you have the lastest firmware installed on the WRT54G and the WAP for best results

I have both routers set to DHCP. I have the cat5 cable connected to the WRT's "Internet" port and the WGR's port 2. All three devices have different SSID's for now so I can test them. I also have the latest firmware for all three. They all still have the factory IP addresses: WGR 192.168.0.1, WRT 192.168.1.1, WAP 192.168.1.245

Okay when you plug the WRT54G into the network you will need

1) disable the DHCP server on the WRT54G (plug the router into one of the LAN ports)
2) Change the router and WAP ip to an address on the same subnet as the netgear
3) Change the WRT54G SSID to Whatever you want
4) Setup the WAP to Associate with the WRT54G
5) Verifty connections
6) Once verified look into setting up encryption for your wireless link
