wireless LAN setup - easiest way?
I've been running my cabled LAN as a workgroup for years, with Win98, Win2K, WinXP, and Linux distros. Recently, I've been connecting them through a wireless router (Linksys WRT150N) with 4 cable sockets, so that I could also access the internet with my laptop.
I just tried to log my laptop (running Vista) in to the workgroup, assuming that it would be the same process as with the cabled machines... same workgroup name, same user names/passwords, etc., but it doesn't see the other machines in the workgroup.
What's the easiest way to setup my workgroup so that cabled and wireless machines will all see each other and do file/printer sharing, gaming and such?
Is there a good tutorial that won't require a background in computer sciences?
Thanks.

IMO vista is a Pain I.T.A, the odd time it doesn't see my XP Pro server either and the network keys/authentication and static IP, sharing permissions/security user names and passwords are all setup correctly. I also disabled IPV6 and yet sometimes it just doesn't refresh the network folders properly, thats why I switched back to XP Pro.

I'll try making the changes as per Chiguy, but I have to agree about Vista. I'm sorry I did that. Some of my critical programs won't run on it at all.
Shame on Microsoft! They remind me of videogame producers who put all their time and effort into all the pretty graphics, while the gameplay sucks!
I'm not a typical Microsoft basher, or even a Mac fan, but I had to laugh at the commercial - "Hello, I'm a Mac,... and I'm a PC," where they mention that Vista users are "downgrading" back to XP. So true.
