a 32-bit lancard in a 64bit pci slot
Hey guys,
at work we have a somewhat older server, which works fine except for the
onboard nic's, those have been wrongly flashed and no longer work, not even after reflashing and all that can be tried.
It has 2 64bit expansion slots, and I seem to recall that a 32bit pci card will work just fine on a 64bit slot, it should just downgrade it's speed and make it work, shouldn't it??
It's an HP Compaq Proliant DL360 G2, dual P3 1.4Ghz, 4Gb ram and 2 x 36.4Gb scsi3 15k rpm.
thanks for any info.2 x Opteron 4280 2.8Ghz, Asus KCMA-D8, 32GB DDR3 1600, Asus 6950 DCII 1GB 2 x M4 64GB SATA600, Caviar Black 640GB, Seagate 1TB, 27"syncmaster

It's probably highly rated because of the level of violence. The story is decent.
