Truly depends on what make and model you get....Cisco DSL modems/routers run from 50 to 250 on ebay.

im selling my big manta ray to my brother and getting the pci one.
i have only seen 1 ethernet one in the uk bu the bt line doesnt accept ethernet directly it uses a small rj-11 plug like normal phone line. a router would be good if you have more than one machine though.
the pipex deal is the cheapest out there also , ive had dsl for nearlly 2 years it cost £40 a month back then!
i think the pci one will be tidier if you dont have desk space .
good luck

what is your primary use for dsl and how many machines will be connecting to it ?

i have 1mbit dsl running through a smoothwall machine/proxy and 5 machines around the house running through that all with the usb speedtouch modem, and my friend it rocks!
cant see the pci modem being any worse or better than usb and ethernet unless you have specific needs for a ethernet based router.
BTW i seen a router/dsl modem in SMC for around £200 thats all ive seen m8
