You will need to look at a model that supports bridging mode. Just look through the specifications of each router and they will tell you if it supports bridging or not.
Posting the model of the router you have would be a big help

wifi bridging
Whats your opinion on the netgear and linkysy gaming routers for playing online games like COD4, TCR6 Vegas 2, and Halo 3.
Which one of these would be a better choice.
Which of these can i buy and then just configure everything through my xbox 360.
And does the connectivity to xbox live depend more on what wifi bridging device i hook to my 360 or the one that is sending the signal out?

The search feature in this forum works fantastic...
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/co...compatible.htm If any router isn't on the list, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but I would have my doubts in stability.

Gaming routers are BS hype if you ask me.
Okay, let me say why...
I have a wrt54gl flashed with DD-WRT.
(Mouth full) I have two computers gaming on it and a third and fourth surfing the net and at times using Skype. Even before I flashed the router it worked flawlessly right out of the box. I'm sure there are other non "gaming routers" that will perfom just as well.
If you use p2p application like Limewire or Bittorrent, whatever. Kiss your network goodbye. Install DD-WRT and look up scripts for DD-WRT that will reduce the active connections in the router. Skype is p2p, but isn't like file sharing.Last edited by Keymaker; April 24th, 2008 at 03:46 PM.
