MY FTP STOPPED WORKING

IT WAS WORKING BEFORE MY DAD HAD UPGRADED MY INTERNET EXPLORER. I DONT KNOW IF ITS BECAUSE OF IT. SOME OF MY FRIENDS SAY THAT MAYBE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY FIREWALL.

IM USING FILEZILLA VERSION 2.2.28

AND EVERYTIME I TRY TO LOG ON IT SAYS

Response: 220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Command: USER MYDOMAIN.com
Response: 331 User MYDOMAIN.com OK. Password required
Command: PASS *********
Error: Disconnected from server
Error: Unable to connect!
Status: Waiting to retry... (2 retries left)

DOES ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO? IF SO PL REPLY.

I ALSO DOWNLOADED THE FTP CLIENT. AND IT STILL DOESNT WORK.

Hey just a dumb idea, but since you keep typing in all caps maybe you should try typing the password with the CAPS OFF!!

Just in case you don't know, typing in all caps is considered rude

I am familiar with that filezilla crap. Sometimes the clue is in the error log. Filezilla doesn't show the error correctly. Try this too and see what the error may be. Whisper FTP Surfer download and review - FTP client from SnapFiles

Edit, Yeah, the password...

You also may need to use passive mode only

Here's a tip in XP Pro. on FTP. Go Start | Run | enter

Now find the polices in the left hand side under "Computer Configuration"| Administrative Templates | Network | QoS Packet Scheduler | limit Reservable Bandwidth. Click enable. You will see 20%. That's M$ hogging 20% of the bandwidth, change to 0%.

Do not change anything else!
