At our office we have a small, wired network where the router is wired to a wireless dsl modem. We just got a new wireless HP all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier and we use an older copier/fax to receive all facsimiles. The wireless all-in-one scanner feature malfunctions when one of the workstations is on the internet (VIA the wired LAN then through the wireless modem), or when a fax is coming in. Note: The fax and the wireless modem share a phone line. The scanned document pdf files are corrupted and will not open because of interference from either internet access or receiving a facsimile. I've been brainstorming, could the IP addresses need to be modified to a better order, or could the router be wired to a more optimum order? Or could it just be that we need to install a phone line filter on our wireless modem? Can someone at least direct me to a good informational website or pdf file so I can learn more about networks and wireless devices? Thanks, Steph
