Hi everyone
I have a Belkins Router FSD7632-4,and i have a wireless adapter which is Netgear, i have had it since January then problem is that the past couple of months my internet just keeps turning off meaning it just stop connecting to the internet.
I have 3 computers, 1 laptop and 2 computers. We used to have a computer in a room but now we dont use it no more but we have to use it because its the closes to a phone line etc... The router is connected to that computer. And the wireless reciever which is the netgear adapater which is on this computer in another room.
The laptop is fine. The reason this computer isnt in the room with the router is because lets say it gets very cold, and we won't use a cable because it gets in the way, nor put the router in here because then it requires a cable to connect to the phone line in the wall and it will be in the way, nor we wont drill a hole through the wall and connect it that way.
I'm not sure what to do to stop the internet from disconnecting from, i think it could be the packets trying to get to the wireless but its fails to, or i dont know. I mean it isnt suppose to do that, i heard that you can create a dmz setup inside your router but then it opens your ports leading to viruses...
Also when i'm in a game and i have a lagometer up and suddenly i go 999 internet connection for a few seconds, but i cant have that since i'm gamer. And i also heard that the dmz setup can get rid of it (not sure if its proven) but i wont do it.
So overall my internet keeps just disconnecting from the router i do reset.
Need serious help, i'm ok with the technology but it would be helpful it was very simple explanation
