Dear Experts,
We are on a network. The dlink 24port switch is upstairs. Downstairs, we have a dlink wireless (DI 524) router (it has 4 lan ports) to which the internet HNS modem is connected which distributes via the router. The router assigns the ip addresses to the systems.
In the office where we have the internet modem, there is a network point which is hooked to the router to act as uplink (which it does effectively) such that from the router, the internet connection is distributed to the other systems upstairs and downstairs.
The router, modem, 24 port switch and all systems are on UPS and Automatic Voltage Regulator.
THE PROBLEM
At times when there is temporary loss of electricity supply, the systems that are connected directly to the 24 port switch can no longer get the internet connection. But the systems that are directly linked to the router will continue to benefit.
I tried putting wireless network cards on the systems connected directly to the 24 port switch but the users complained it is not as fast as wired hence I need to face this problem head-on.
Please help.
If I have done something wrong, Please tell me and correct me.
Thanks.
