Can Connect to Network, Can't Connect to Internet

hello everyone
i've recently had to recover one of my wireless computers after it crashed the other night and now i just cannot get it reconnected and working. And somehow during all my attempts to fix it, my second wireless computer is showing the same connection issue. My two wireless comps are connected to my home network, but they can't connect to the internet. in the network connections panel, it shows it has limited or no connectivity. All three of my computers are Windows XP, SP2 i believe. I'm using a Quest DSL Modem Model GT701-WG. This is what the ipconfig /all shows on the computer that crashed and started all this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Administrator>ipconfig /all

And this is what the ipconfig shows on my second wireless:
Windows IP Configuration

Now here comes the long list of everything i've tried in the past two days. i uninstalled/reinstalled the driver; shut all PCs down, unplugged the modem, waited, plugged it back in; stopped the DHCP client, rebooted, netsh int ip reset log.txt; winsockfix; /release, /renew; XP wireless network wizard; contacted my ISP (they think its my modem even though it is working fine); and disabled all security while working on this. One thing i noticed while doing all this is that when the DHCP is enabled it gives me a 169 IP. And when I manually put in the IPs on TCP/IP, it disables and I still can't connect.
I'm posting this everywhere hoping someone out there could help me. I really don't have the money to get everything serviced and to get new parts. Thanks in advance for any tips.

How can you be sure that the modem is working? It makes no sense.

My two wireless comps show a strong connection to the network and the main computer that the modem is connected to is working fine. that's why im ruling that out.

The I would suspect a WiFi misconfiguration on the router.

Try a hard reset (paper clip) on the router. Set security (never leave it unsecured or with the default SSID) and check WiFi. Someone may have gotten in and changed it for you. A hard reset is a good idea.
