Can't see wireless networks

Hello all

My roommate is able to see and connect to quite a few wireless networks in the area on his windows laptop, but for some reason, I cannot see any from my powerbook. Do you know why this may be?

note: I am not trying to leech internet access from other people, We live next to a library with free wifi which I am trying to access.

Thanks much.

I can not support nor condone the use of leeching internet, if you want to use the library's inet go borrow a book and let them at least get some credit for your time.

Is your wireless turned on?

You are in fact trying to leech from the Library.

It is free public internet ... I am a regular patron of the library and happen to live right next door to it.

And yes, my wireless is turned on, but I see no networks unlike my roommate who sees many (including other people's personal secured networks)
