For some reason when I go to the network connections it will not show the wireless connection to where I can see the available wireless networks. Anyone know how I can get this icon to show up? This is for the integrated wireless for the laptop.

You can control the wireless card either by windows or the Intel software. If controlled by Windows you need to turn on the Wireless zero configuration service. Go the the control panel, administrative tools, services list. It's the near the bottom. Make sure its on.
