New to DSL connection

I bought a new modem for my service. Im currently deployed and DSL is all they have. I had a D Link DSL-200 w/vista drivers. I just bought a D link DSL-2540B Modem.

My problem is that i have no idea how to connect the dsl modem.

The DSL-200 setup is easy
This is exactly how its setup

Uses Lan Driver
VCI Code 32
RFC 2684 IPoATM Bridged LLC Encapsulation
Modulation: Multimode

I know that this connection has to be through a LAN connection.
Can anyone help me?

Plug the phone cord into the wall outlet and the DSL modem. Plug a network cable (cat 5e) from the DSL Modem to the Network Card or the motherboards onboard net. Thats it for the hardware install. Unless you have a router or switch installed. In this case you just connect the cat 5e cable from the modem to the port on the router/switch that says something about connection for modem. And another cat 5e cable from the computer to one of the numbered ports on the router/switch.

Software, usually you just install the DSL software you get with the modem or phone company.
