WAG54GP2 Login Problem

Hi, I am trying to configure a WAG54GP2 but I am having some problems logging into it. I can ping the default gateway which suggests that I should be able to login through a browser. However when I type the address into IE it slowly loads and then times out. Has anyone else had this problem before? is there a way I can configure the box using command line? Or is there a way to fix it so I can login? Thanks

Just to make it a bit clearer, I can ping the gateway but when I go to login through a browser it wont load the login password box. It just takes ages to connect and then times out
