Home networking problem

I have a desktop that is directly connected to the router (linksys wrt54g) and 2 laptops connecting wirelessly. Everything connects to the internet fine, the problem lies in getting the computers to talk to each other. The desktop and one of the laptops is running windows xp professional and the other laptop has windows xp home. The two computers with Windows Professional talk to each other fine, but the one with the XP Home will not connect to the other computers. The error message is something to do with the network path and to contact the administrator. Any ideas?

What resource are you trying to access?

A network share?

How are you trying to access it?

The desktop has all of my music, files, and printer on it. I am just trying to transfer files pretty much, basic networking. I am using the Windows Network Places to try and access the other computers.
