How do I play online within a sharer?

Is it possible for PCs linked on one modem with a sharer to play online against each other? If so how do I install it?

Yes it is. I cant really help you on the specifics, but you need a decent router that can handle it. I had a lower end DLINK router and it wouldnt allow me to play with more than once person online on battle.net on warcraft a few years back but I got a better one and voilla. It worked. Lol sorry Im a little useless when it comes to this so you will have to wait for some "proper" help. Lol

I have a 512kb/s DSL connection. Would that be sufficient to play games like Generals and the like?

First off, i understand that your not a native speaker being from Pakistan but your going to want to at least learn some of the more common terminology.

This "Sharer" your speak of is actually a Router. The Router is not going to do much other then create an internal network, the game you are playing will need to be able to support LAN as an option for optimal gaming with people on the same network. Generals should support LAN gaming, just have someone host the game and your good to go.

As recommended, not all Routers are created equally and its best to do a little research into what is available to you before you buy. When you get one, update this thread and let us know how it goes.
