Wireless network coverage

I have a large ranch style home with a full finished basement. I am currently setting up a home office in the basement and dont get a very good wireless connection down there. I have verizon dsl with a wireless modem. Can I add aeither a separate connection down below or possibly an additional router or repeater? Frustrated in New Jersey!!

Yes. You can buy an Access Point and set it up as a repeater. Do a few quick searches here on the boards and you should find some references to specific models that others have used as repeaters. In general, I would assume that Linksys AP's act as repeaters. Depending on the square footage, building materials, and interference from other electronics, you may want to get two for proper coverage throughout your home.

Where is your modem? Can it be moved to a better location? You may want to look at different antennas
