Internet has bee REAL slow lately

Hey,
In the past couple of weeks, I have been experiencing slow internet with shaw as my provider. When this first started happening, I did what most people would do, restart their router. This did improve internet speeds for a little bit, but before I knew it, internet was slow again.

It wasn't as slow as before but things like watching youtube videos barely load in time. Sometimes, I even need to pause the video so I can let it load. Other things like playing CounterStrike is barely possible due to the high latency I get ingame.



Thats the speeds that I am getting, which isn't that great.

Anyone know whats up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Shaw internet has been very slow the last 2-3 days also my latency is very high making almost impossible to play online games. Hope they fix it soon

If I were you I would call my internet service provider (Shaw in this case) and complain. If it is a good ISP, they will send out a technician to test the lines running to your house.


Several years ago, Time Warner went to my parents house after many complaints of the internet dropping through the day. They found that the neibhorhood node had not been upgrade as it should have been to cope with the higher demand of new houses being built in the area.
