| wireless connection
i brought a toshiba satellite lapetop L305-S5955 and am triing to hook it up to wireless internet but it says connected with limited access. how can i fix this |

We need more information about your network, what router/access point do you have? Any secuirty enabled? Do you have any other clients on your network. Please advise |

it is a wep
my laptop says it is connected to the web but with limited access and it won,t go to the internet. |

So you are connected wirelessly to your router and you can ping it?
If you connect directly to your modem (wired of course) can you get to to the net?

Just so we have some clarification of your setup you've got broadband internet through either cable or dsl. That modem is connected (via wire) to your linksys router and your laptop is then connected either wireless or wired to the router - correct?
Did this connection ever work with another computer or is it a totally new setup?
Take the router out of the equation - can you connect to the internet when you plug the laptop into the modem? |
