Ethernet to wireless.

I want to make a room in a house wireless. I'm not looking for a wireless router. Currently it's all done with cables. So basically connect the cable in that room to a device to make it wireless. From what I gathered what I need is a WAP. Is that correct? Something like this will work?

Without looking at the specs, it seems like it should do the trick to get a wireless signal in there.....

All you would need to do after that would be to get whatever you wanted to use wirelessly to have a wireless card/connection.........
