What verison of DD-WRT are you running? Do you have the latest update installed? |

The latest release is 2009-07-22, so yours is a year old. I would give updating it a try and see if that clears up your problem. |

When you lose connectivity while copying over the wifi can you ping the router's ip address? I assume the copy finishes eventually. Its odd it would be affecting the modem since the traffic is all internal, and you said if you copy the same amount of files over the wired you dont have any issues correct? |

Is Vista installed on the laptop (dual booting)? If so, does it happen in vista too? |

Do you have the latest firmware/driver installed on the vista box? Im not really up to date on the drivers with linux, so I wont be much help with you there. |
